The ultimate glory God receives is not from the stars or the mountains, but from a human being who chooses Him. When a man or woman, given the option to reject God, instead says, "I choose You," it brings God immense pleasure. It confirms His character and love.
Our primary objective as human beings is to look like God in character and conduct. It is to take the raw materials of our lives—our time, our resources, our relationships—and stamp them with the image of Christ.
God's plan is that "Christ be formed in you" (Galatians 4:19). This means that as we walk with Him, our reactions should start to look like His reactions. Our love should mirror His love. Our handling of power and authority should reflect His servant heart.
This transformation is what the world is waiting for. Romans 8 tells us that all creation is groaning, waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God. The world is tired of religion; it is looking for the authentic image of God displayed in His people. They are looking for leaders who carry godliness into the marketplace, into government, and into the home.
